Advisori was founded on a simple premise: companies whose business runs on regulated data deserve senior privacy counsel who is embedded, responsive, and specialized — without the full-time hire.
Joseph served as Hilton's first Global Data Protection Officer and HIPAA Privacy Officer, designing and operating the global privacy program of one of the world's largest hospitality companies — the budget, the team, the regulator correspondence, and the board reporting.
Since then he has held embedded privacy counsel seats across pharmaceuticals, health technology, enterprise software, retail, and hospitality — standing up privacy programs, running enterprise-scale SCC remediations, and advising on AI governance from model intake to deployment. Before going in-house, he was a Big Law partner, where he founded and chaired his firm's Cybersecurity group.
That experience is the firm's point of view: privacy counsel is most useful when it has sat on the client's side of the table — owned the program, answered to the board, and lived with the advice.
No leverage pyramid. We'd rather decline a matter than staff it thin.
The lawyer you meet is the lawyer who does the work, across the engagement.
Privacy and AI, nothing else. When a matter calls for a different bench, we say so.
Advisori is built privacy-first: today the site uses only strictly necessary storage. Non-essential categories are off by default and stay off until you turn them on. See the Cookie Notice for detail.
Keeps the site working and remembers your privacy choice. This is the only storage the site uses today, and it never leaves your browser.
Loads Google Analytics (GA4) — IP-anonymized, with Google Signals and ad personalization turned off — so we can measure aggregate site usage. Nothing loads and no cookie is set unless you turn this on.
Would enable optional conveniences such as embedded media. None are in use.
